Taxonomic review of the dusty wings from Egypt (Neuroptera, Coniopterygidae)

Abstract


A revision was carried out of all recorded taxa of the family Coniopterygidae from Egypt. The family is divided into two subfamilies: Aleuropteryginae and Coniopteryginae. The last one is represented in the Egyptian fauna which comprising the tribes Coniopterygini (2 genera, 3 species) and Conwentziini (3 genera, 5 species). Keys to subfamilies, tribes, genera and species are given. In addition illustrations, photographs, updating names, synonyms, habitat, specimens examined, world and local distributions are provided.
