Magnetohydrodynamic Peristaltic Flow with Heat and Mass Transfer of Micropolar Biviscosity Fluid Through a Porous Medium Between Two Co-Axial Tubes

Abstract
The problem of peristaltic transport of a micropolar non-Newtonian fluid has been investigated. The fluid flows through a porous media between co-axial tubes with heat and mass transfer under long-wavelength assumption. The inner tube is uniform, while the outer flexible tube has a sinusoidal wave traveling down its wall. A perturbation solution is obtained which satisfies the momentum, angular momentum, energy and concentration equations. Numerical results for the behaviors of the velocity, micro-rotation, temperature and concentration as well as the skin friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number with other physical parameters are obtained. Several graphs for these results of physical interest are displayed and discussed in detail. © 2014 King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
