Estimating the prevalence of glutathione S-transferase gene polymorphism (GSTM1) null genotype among patients with beta thalassemia major (β-TM) in relation to myocardial status assessed by tissue Doppler and cardiac siderosis assessed by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) T2*.
