Application of artificial neural network model for prediction of thermo –physical properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) containing nanofluid

Aly, Rasha;

Abstract

In the present work, an artificial neural network (ANN) model is utilized to estimate the thermal conductivity and viscosity of magnetic nanofluid-containing carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The experimental data of thermal conductivity and viscosity of a magnetic nanofluid containing CNTs as a function of magnetic field and temperature are used as inputs. The optimized neural network structure that has the best performance is obtained. Equations that describe the nonlinear relationship between the studied parameters are produced. The trained ANN results represent an excellent accuracy and prove that the ANN model has a great ability to model different properties of nanofluids.
