Abstract

The current study investigates the thermoluminescence characteristics of borosilicate glasses doped with ZnO and Na2O metal-based oxides. The deconvolution of the glow curves displayed that they were composed of eight traps with energies located between 0.965 and 1.61 eV. The kinetic parameters of the charge carriers’ traps: E (eV), Tm (K), s (s−1), and b were obtained. The values of the activation energies were measured and confirmed by three methods. For the dosimetric applications, the samples revealed good reproducibility, linear-dose-response in the range of 5.0–220 Gy and an estimate minimum detectable dose of 9.87 mGy.
